Falling UP
@ Battle of Pitreavie
Development
Falling UP Battle of Pitreavie is a series of outdoor interventions on the historic site of a decisive battle in the War of the Three Kingdoms (1639-1653). The battle saw a significant final victory of Oliver Cromwell's forces over the Scottish opposition. As part commemoration for the fallen combatants and the site itself being of such historical importance in Scotland's history, this project comprises performance, poetry reading, installation, digital art and photography. Project activities seek to raise awareness of the historical event and interpret the energies of battle and traces of presence through creative means.
