Development

The Falling UP Living in Art studio is our main base of operation. It is the lynchpin of our creative activities, whereby other non-studio based projects can develop in orbit of this dedicated indoor space. Located in the Fire Station Creative in Dunfermline, it is an authentically sized studio space where a diverse range of participants create their art at their own pace. The studio welcomes anybody who is interested in developing an artistic practice, whether they are trying art for the first time, or they are experienced artists who are interested in joining our art collective. The vast majority of our participants are self-taught artists but we also have varying degrees of taught artists. Being part of the studio operation means working in an inspiring environment where cross inspiration can happen on a daily basis. Our studio operation is designed to encourage social integration. Participants are supported at a gentle pace on an individualised basis. We try and instil a feeling of ownership in our process, for participants to adopt an artistic lifestyle in their routine. Therefore, we ask participants to bring their own materials so that they have full choice in their medium and format of their determination. Attendance is free and by arrangement.
